A WOMAN BURNED TO DEATH.
(CRESS ASSOCIATION TEI.EGHA.r.) WELLINGTON. April 19. By a fire which occurred late la.'-t night in A, three-roomed house in Frederick street, ;t woman named Janet Orr, 54 yeaw of use, the wife of the occupier, was burned to death. Her hu,l»and, Jvi-mcs Orr. left the house eariy in tho evening to go to tho theatre, and at tli?t time the woman war- slightly under the influence of drink. It is supposed that she was carrying a lighted kerosene lamp a.nd fell, the lamp huistiug and setting the house on finThe names were confined to tlie scullery, but the woman was elead when assistance arrived, and the body was terribly burned.
