The North Canterbury Infantty Battalion I -paraded in full strength last night, whan " * Lieutenant-Colonel Day, officer command* - • *ng. exercised the men in advance __a_ - and (rear-guard work. The drill was partly undertaken on .the volunteer parade X ' ground, and included a march through the - town. The Park .being in a rather wet condition, was not used. The Battalion ' officers were:—Colonel Day (in wnunand), Major Oresswell, Capta_i-Adjuta_t Merton, • Quartermaster Bachelor, and Bat-lion' Sergeant-Major Dyer.
