QUARTZ MINING.
(SFXOIAZ. TO "THB PBESS.") GREY-tOUTH, September 12. At the Mount _ apaxoa mine, the northward level from the intermediate tunnel still conV*aues to be driven along the course of the reef, distance from the junction being yesterday thirty feet. The reef is eight feet wide. The level, which is aix feet wide, is being driven along the course of the footwall, . and in no direction has a hanging wall been met with. The stone, which is heavily. mineralised, is being trucked to a new paddock at the mouth of the intermediate, for subsequent treatment at the battery.
