SOUTHBRIDGE.
The Southbridge School Committee met on August sth. Present—Dr. T. I. Withers (chairman), Messrs Smith, Thornton, Woods, and Revs. Jackson and Hamilton. The headmaster reported an increase in the attendance. He also forwarded a list of names of absentees, and the Committee resolved to prosecute the parents of the offenders. It was decided to have the children at the school on Saturday next (Coronation Day), when they would salute the flag, and have refreshments served cut to them. Rev. Mr Jackson and Rev. Mr Hamilton were appointed a canvassing committee to raise i_n_s for the institution of technical classes.
