SUGGESTED CHANGE OF NAME.
TO THB El>llv>A OK THE PRESS. Sir,—May I, through the medium of your valuable paper, suggest a change of mhw for tire street, -lately improved out of all resemblance to the old Cariton Mill road? The Carlton mill itself has loug disappeared. The derivation of the name may ba preserved by residents, but the ordinary passer-by can find no roaaniug In it. ■ But a distinguishing event familiar to every od3 has happened, in the residence for a short time in the neighbourhood of tfca Duke and Duchess of York. Why should not "Boyalty road" or "The Duchess Drive" preserve soma memory of their visit? H this is not opposed to the feelings of the residents, perhaps some of them may move in tlbe matter.—Yours; etc.; ... ,/..-.■■ royalty: 1
