SCHOOL COMMITTEES.

EAST CHBISTGHUBOH. At tie usual meeting of the East Christcburcih. Sohool Committee there were present : —Messrs J. R. Brunt (chairman}, D. Lumsden, <&. &. Franklin, W. 0. Aiken, S. Clarke, W. Ensom, and T. G. Strange. Mr Brunt said that owing to his leaving the school ctiebrk* he -wtVula) Be compelled to resign his position as chairman and as ft member of the Committee. The members present expressed their regret that the Committee wes losing tihe services of Mr Brunt, who had been & member for over fourteen years. Mr S. Clarke was elected chairman, in Mr Brnnt'e place. Mr G. F. Henry wrote resigning his position as member of Committee owing to business - engagements interfering. The resignation was accepted with regret. It was decided l to flll the vacancies thus caused at the next meeting. The resignation of Miss Wright, pupil teacher, owing to ill-healthy was also received with regret. The master's report showed the roll number to be 1450, with an average' attendance of 1217.
