ASSAULT AND BURGLARY.
At the Magistrate's.. Court, Culverden, before Messrs D. Rutherford and J. H. Davison, J.P.s, J. Hancock and E. Hunter were charged with assault .on Mr Knight, of Weka Pass, and with theft from the men's whares at the Hurunui railway camp. They were sentenced to two months' imprisonment for burglary, and Hancock was sentenced to a month and Hunter to fourteen days' imprisonment for assault. <
