(BFECIAI. TO "THE PEESS.") DUNEDIN, October 22. As the Monowai has a liberal stock of provisions and water there is no fear of the large number of passengers aboard going oh short commons. Of fuel there is an abundance, so that in every respect due care lias "been exercised in preparing for contingencies. The Herald, leaving the Bluff a* daylight to-morrow morning, has received instructions to .prolong iler passage to Grey-, mouth to Saturday next, thus affording every opportunity of coming across the Monowai should she have broken down and drifted or made her way under sail towards that'part of the coast. The €orinna 4 which, is in charge of Captain Millman, who is well acquainted with the expanse of ocean dividing New Zealand and Hobart, left Westport this morning on her search! for the overdue vessel. Should the breakdown prove serious, necessitating the vessel laying up for soma time, the Tarawera will take up her running from here.
