DARFIELD SALEYARDS COMPANY.
. The annnal meeting <rf shareliolders in the Darfieid Saleyards Company was held in the hotel, Daifield, on Saturday, ilr H. A. Knight was in the chair. The report showed fiiat a successful year's business had been done at the yards. The quantities of stock passing through the yaxdb had; been 81,163 sheep, 41 horses, 51 cattle, and 185 pigs, with the usual sundries. The balance sheet showed that the receipts had been £163 11s 10d, expenditam* £$) 6s 2d, leaving a credit baLonce on the year's work of £88 5s Bd. The directors recommended the ÜBual dividend? of 10 per cent, being declared on the capital; that a bonus of £5 be paid the secretary; the remaining balance to be expended , * in general repairs at ihe /yards ;as required.' Tnereport and balance sheet were adopted. The" retiring directors, Messrs Knight, Gough, MuHiolland, and Jarman, were Te-elected, and Messrs R. Reid and D. R. Hutchison were re-elected auditors. After passing a. vote of thanks to the directors, chairman,' and secretary the meeting adjourned. At a subsequent meeting of tne directors, Mr H. A. Knight was re-elected chairmen*
