MRS JOHN JOYCE.
We regret to record the death of Mrs Joyce, relict of tie late Mr John Joyce, MJELR. for Lyttelton, which occurred at her residence, North belt, Ghristchnroh, last night. Mrs Joyce was the youngest daughter of the late Mr Giles Coates; of Christchurch, the founder of the firm of Coates and Co., and arrived in tbe colony in 1850, coming first to Nelson, and then moving to Ohristchurch.
Mr Hector Mcintosh, a farmer at Fernside, died on Monday after a painful illness. He came to the colony in the ship Himalaya about twenty-eight years ago, and for about ten years resided at Southbrook. He then moved to »r farm on the edge of the North Moerski Downs at Fernside, which he successfully farmed ap to the time of iv» death. Deceased leaves a widow and a family of seven sons and daughters.
