WOMEN'S INSTITUTE.

A general meeting of the Women's Institute was held" last Friday. The City Council, in acknowledging the re- t ceipt of the Institute's resolution, stated that the police had been requested to enforce the by-laws in regard to (1) , expectoration on the footpaths, and (2) the wearing .of badges by juvenile vendors of newspapers.
