DUST AND DESTRUCTOR.
.TO THE EDITOR OF THE BRESS. Sir,—Why this dust? Why that destructor? I imagine the latter is the cause of the former. "While Nero fiddles I Rome burns?. 1. Whilst our sapient city fathers are squabbling over destructor chimneys, we poor citizens are sweltering in nor'-wester heat and dust, and it requires no great stretch of imagination to beliere that there is a destructor every few yards, minus the chimney. I would numbly suggest that during the prevalence of nor'-weeters City Councillors should' descend from the dizzy 160 feet heights and shelve all other business until the water carts ace welL on the way.—Yours, etc., GEO. PAEVIER. Christchuroh, 15tih October, 1901.
