POLICE COURT.
INSOBRIETY. At the CSty Police Court yesterday, before Messrs R. Westenra and J. M. Thompson, Justices, Thomas Richards, for drunkenness, was fined 10s, or in default 48 hours' imprisonment. Two male first offenders, similarly aharged, were each fined ss, in default 24 hours* imprisonment. ALLEGED DESERTION. 'Thomas Joseph Wilkinson, charged with having, on May 26th, 1900, deserted his wife, Angelina Wilkinson, waa remanded till to-day. DISOBEYING ORDERS. At Lyttelton yesterday, before Captains Marcit-l and Willis, J.P.s, Robert Kavanagh, a greaser, was .charged with disobedience to lawful commands on the Buteshire, as also with being albsent without leave. Mr Beswick appeared for Captain Olsen. The Bench fined the man £3 and costs. DISORDERLY CONDUCT. William Robertson, for being drunk and disorderly, was fined 20s and costs, and for using obscene language was sentenced to a month's imprisonment. A first offender, who pleaded guilty to, being drunk, was convicted and discharged.
