ALARMING EXPERIENCE OF EXCURSIONISTS.
NEW YORK, July 1. The steamer Mohawk, with 900 American excursionists, struck on a rock at Glen Island, and sank in twenty minutes. A terrible panic ensued, but the shallowness of tlw. water ejsabled all to be rescued.
