SUMNER.
The monthly meeting of tha , Sumner School Committee was held on Friday evening. Present—Messrs Limey, Phillips, Rollitt, R6weli, and Senior. A letter was read from Mr Hartle, resigning the chairmanship and membership of tbe committee, owing to leaving the dustricfc. A resolution waa passed expressing regret., and thanks for Mr Hartte's work in the past. Mr Rollitt was elected chairman, and "Mr Wheeler . was ele<st<_ to the vao_ley on the comI mittee. The master's report «howed::— Average attendance 84, on roll 102, admitted 8, left 3. It also drew, attention to the sanitary conveniences not being up to the Board's altotvanee. It was resolved to apply to tha Board re increased wtnitary convenience*. The caretaker resign—t, and it was refeolved to advertise for applications for the post. A letter vrats received from the School Committees' Association,. and Mess—. Rollitt and Senior were appointed delegates to the Association. The consideration of the application of the All Saints' Vestry for tha use oi a —:hoolroom. on Sunday afternoon* to hold Sunday -school, was postponed till a fuller meeting of the committee.
