The monthly meeting of the South Rakaia | School Committee was ."held on Monday evening. Present-— ileaara J. R. -Sharp (chairman),- Liddy, Wright, Shannon, Hazlett, Gee, and The- toasters report show—l tl»e average attendance for the past month to be 167.2 -ont of "a roll number of 193, or about 81 per cent. It was decided not to join the School Committee's Association until further information is obtained. At a meeting held on Thttrsday evening, it was reported that the work of —ring the flagstaff was being carried out, and it was decided that the ceremony of hoisting the ! flag be -held on Wednesday, 19th June, at 2.30 p.m. " i
