YESTERDAY EVENING'S REPORTS.
Tha following reports received by Captain Edwin, R.N., show the weather on February 4th, at 5 p.m.: — Manukau Heads—Wind, W., fresh; baro., 29.82; drizzle, sea moderate. Castlepoiut—Wind, N.E., light; baro., 29.62; therm., 60; fine, sea moderate. Wellington—Wind, N.W., breeze; baro., 29.66; therm., 65; cloudy. Westpotfr—Wmd, N., fresh; baro., 29.52; therm., 64; showery, sea considerable. Bluff—Wind, S.E., breeze; baro., 29.50; therm., 55; showery. Captain Edwin reports:—A low pressure from the west passed eastward of the meridian of the South Cape on Sunday, and one from the same direction is due on the 6th. The indications are for strong winds to a gale from the westward at places south of Napier and New Plymouth.
