(Received January 20th, 5.1*0- p.m.) SYDNEY, Jar,uaiy 20. Mr Ssddon has returned from 'Queensland. Hβ had an interview with Mr- Drake, the Postmaster-General, on th? question of p?nny post. Messrs Crick avid Gurr also conferred on the same subject., While they do not wish to depart from I he decision of the Postal Conference, at t he same time they are personally inclined; to deliver the letters. Sir J. Forrest takes over' ;he Federal Post Office on the Ist of the v ionth. Mr Siddon is now in communicat; x>xi Avith him. If he offers no objection th' ; n the State post offices will not surcharge New Zealand letters, i Mr Seddon leaves for J /lelbourae to-night.
