SPRINGSTON.

There was a good entry of sheep, and a j record entry of lambs at the Springston | lards on Monday. These yards, under j .Messrs Pyne and Co.'s management, have ' drawn a good business to Springston, and ! are proving of great advantage to the farmers ! of the district. On Monday, there were 1000 I fat lambs, and about 3000 store and a few j fat sheep sold. There was a keen demand : for prime freezing lambs, all of which sold j at liis to 17s. A very prime and choice line j of Mi- Alfred Farmer's, "a farmer's line," ': brought 17s. Other lines brought 16s 9d, ! 16s 3d, 16s Id, 15s lid, 15s Bd, 15s 7d, 15s i 6d, lSs, 14s lid, and 14s 9d. The average j price' for prime quality, and an average of j .41b weights, being 15s 6d. The freezing ! lambs were the small picked drafts out ol . fanners' lines. The principal buyers were j Mr W. B.
