GRAIN AND PRODUCE MARKETS.

(BY OTJB COMMERCIAL EDITOR.) Tuesday evening. Business in wheat is still restricted by want of freight, and it would seem that prospects in this connection are not improving. A cable message from Melbourne states that a vessel has been chartered to load for the English Channel for orders at the extreme rate of 40s, and two others for February loading at 36s 3d. A few sales of wheat, chiefly in small lines, for export, are reported at 2s 5d to 2s 6d, f.0.b., for mired Tuscan and Hunter's, and 2a 6Jd, f.0.b., for Tuscan, which is j somewhat lower than was given last week. There has been an outside enquiry for oats, but the prices offered, Is B£d, f.0.b., for short feed and Is f.0.b., for milling, leave little or no margin of profit to ex- ! porters.
