AN UNSUCCESSFUL ASSAULT.' (Received April 21st, 9.35 a.m.) LONDON, April 20. The Boers report that 6ight thousand men, -vrith fifteen, guns, are attacking Wepener. (Received April 22nd, 5,10 p.m.) LONDON, April 21. The Boera on the niglifc of the lltli iuafc. were discovered slipping up a doiiga to Wepener. The British Maxims opaned on them at 200 yards. The Boers removed five "waggon loads <m dead! and wounded. A siraultaneoue attack elsewhere on the British position was repulsed at the point of the bayonet. .
