CYCLING.
The prize money offered by the Christchurch Cycling Club at their Easter meetings amounted to £73. It was* divided into twenty-seven prize*, distributed over ten races, and was appropriated by twenty-four different winners. S. Draffen, of the Thames, winner of the Wheel Race, secured the largest amount, £15. and J. Chalmers, of Wellington, came next with £10. The Committee of the Christchnrch Cycling Club met on Wednesday, Mr F. T. Pannell in the chair. A rough balance-sheet of the two days* Easter meeting showed a profit of £97. Accounts amounting to £260, including prize money, were passed for payment. It was decided to vote £10 towards the Paris trip, and to recommend the League to send both Sutherland and Reynolds. It was also decided to promote a race meeting during Anniversary week, and to communicate with the Caledonian Society on the matter to avoid a clashing of dates. The gross receipts for the two days' Easter meeting of the Christchurch Cycling Club amounted to £249 18s 9d, as shown by the balance-sheet presented to the Clnb by the Park Company. The third share, which belongs to the company, amounted to £83 6* 3d.
