The fine Steel barque Thofcis, Captain Oliver, arrived from New York yesterday. She left on June 21st, and, though she ha. been close upon four months on her voy-go, her condition is bo perfectly in order that one would' tlv.rik "•,ri<» had o-nly juat con><> out of dock. Captain Oliver reports that he _-d fine wa'ther on the whole, but on October sbh was obliged to heave-to for 5 houra i_- consequence of thehigh, eea and terrific -squills. He srx>ke, on July 18th, in lat. 12.13 N., long 25.26 W., an i Italian bxrque, .from Glasgow, bound to Buenos Ay res, on July 21st, in lat. 930 N.; long. 24 W., the fou-rma_ted harciue President Folix Fauro, from New Caledonia to Havre; on August 7th, in kt. 6.32 S, long. 2437 W., the Italian, barau-a Glanivor, from Cadiz to Btlanoa Ayrea, 60 doys.out; on Awrust ]4L_,.in lat. 22 46 «., long. 23 40 W., the English steamer from Rangoon to Rio, find on Sentembpr 13ih, in lat. 41,2.5 S , lo_nr. 63 25 E. (Mima+ed), as no sights could be obtained), the -Waikato. Tbe weaither was thick and dirty, a strong northerly wind wsb blowing, and a nasty' high sea wt>s running, but signals w-ere exohwged. and, after finding that the Thetis oonld not tpVo the "Wai_ato in tow.
