She left Hobart at 6 p.m. on tihe same day, and had I strong "N.W. winds, with considerable _ea, j until she approached the New Zealand coast, , when ba_i wind and sea increased. Heavy I rain squalls and thick, dirty weather continued until she arrived at the Bluff, about nodhon the 15th, leaving there at 6 p.m. on the 16th, and arriving at Dunedin at 6 a.m. on the 17t_.. She left Dunedin at 2.20 p.m. on the 13th. i .The, Rakaia, -which left Plymouth last Saturday, has 1600 tons of meivhacdiae- for Lyttelton. The N* - Zealand Loan'and Mercantile Company landed by the Mokoia yesterday 130 merino rams, from Australia. __ey were at once .put into quarantine. The Mildura was coaling yesterday. She leaves for Port Chalmeff3 next week. ! The Sarah and Mary arrived yesterday after- | noon from Stewart's Island. I Some splendid work was done by the crew cf the Government steamer Hinemoa at East' Cape -sland in the way of landing -material ana s : ores. no fewer than 64 boatloads and 11 raftloads being handled in 2J days, the whole amounting' to 185 tons.
