THE BOERS ROBBING REFUGEES.
THE ENEMY IN DIFFICULTIES.
The Boers looted Ingogo and Ingogane, on the Natal border, and are robbing refugees, including the Basutos. The Boers are subdividing their forces, and entrenching themselves in various mountain passes. Colonel Sir W. P. Symons, commanding at Ladysmith, reports that the Boer horses are an a wretched condition, and the men are worn out. The British destroyed) a highway bridge at Hopetown on the Cape Kimberley railway, close to .the Orange Free State border. An Outkmder mounted corps, 1000 strong, baa been formed ait Durban. THE MANSION~HOUSE FUND. SUBSCRIPTION FROM THE QUEEN. LONDON, October 17. The Mansion House Refugees' Fund amounts to £74,000. The Queen contributed 500 guineas. GRENADIER AND COLDSTREAM GUARDo FOR SOUTH AFRICA. The third battalion of the Grenadier' Guards, and tihe first battalion of the Coldstream (juards leave Gibraltar for Soutdi Africa on the 25th inst. SPECIAL SESSION OF THE IMPERIAL PARLIAMENT.
