VOTES AT POLITICAL MEETINGS.
TO TKK KDITOH OF TUE PItKSS. Sir, —A good deal of misunderstanding seems to exist relative to the amendment moved by myself at Mr Bttssell'a meeting on Monday evening last at Islington. What I meant to explain at the time was that in my opinion candidates should be content with a vote of thanks only at political meetings, leaving the electors on the day of polling to show their confidence or otherwise. I trust Mr Eoliestoh, when he comes round, vr.L v v •'■> ,- c ■ v ' ■ .tent with a vote of thanks only. l —Yours, etc., >ULTER. Islington, 17th October, 1899.
