«l THE DUNEDIN CLUB. (PRKSS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) DUNEDIN, February 11. The nineteenth annual meeting of tihe Dunedin Cycling Club was held to-day at the Caledonian Ground. The weather was fine, and there was a large attendance. The Two Mile Cash Championship of Otago did not come off, all the competitors having scratched themselves. The general impression was that their reason for doing so was that no cash prize* were offered, ffcesuits: — One Mile Bicycle Handicap (Second Claae) — H. liyon, Kangitikei, syds, 1; F.,C. Caulton, 15yds, 2; E. Booth, 45yds, 3. Won by a couple of lengths. Time, 2mm ai 2-sth sec. Halt Mile Bicycle Handicap (Amateur) W. E. Gibson, 40yas, 1; -Air P. Cameron, aOyds, 2; J. Frederick, 80yds, 3; Won by about five yards. Time, lmin 5 3-oth sec. 220 Yards Flat Handicap (Amateur)—C. H. Mirams, lOfds, 1; V. Jacobs, 10yds, 2; W. Boyd, 14yds, 3. Won by about two feet. Time, 23 4-sth sec. One Mile First-Class Handicap (cash riders) —A. Jones, 30yds, 1; A. Kalston, 25yds, 2; A. Middleton, 40yda, 3. Won easily, 'rime, Umin. 9sec. One Mile Bicycle Handicap (Amateur) J. Frederick, 160 yds, 1; K. Melville, 70yds, 2; W. £. Gibson, 90yds, 3. Won by about a foot. Time, 2min 18 l-sth sec. Dunedin Wheel Race (two miles); first prize £40, second £15, third £5, fourth £I —This event was run in four heats, the final resulting as follows: J. McMullan, 380 yds, and A. Middleton, 70yds, dead heat, 1; t. Crawford, 255 yds, 3; A. Kalston, 3dyds, 4. The competitors raced in two bunches throughout, McJlulian leading those in the van, and Tierney, Sutherland, and Middleton composing the rear squad. Half a mile from heme Middleton spurted, and caught McMullan • in the straight, a dingdong race resulting in a verdict by the judges of a dead heat, but a great many held the opinion that McMullan won by half a wheel. Time, 4min 3S 4-sth sec. McMullan and Middleton ran off, the former winning easily by three-quarters of a lap. Time, smin 0 4-sth sec. .- ' 440 Yards Flat Handicap (Amateur)—C. E.
