OLD AGE PENSIONS.
— At the Old Age Pension Court at Kaiapoi, on Thursday, there wen? five applications, in two of which the pension in full was granted; one applicant was granted £15 a year, and one case was adjourned. At the Darfield Pensions Court, oh Wednesday. Mr H. W. Bishop, S.M., heard twenty-seven ap_p_icatia_s, of which ten were granted in full, one for £17, one for £16, one for £15, one for £14, one for £12, and one for £8 a year. Seven were adjourned through non-appearance of the parties, and three wero adjourned for further proof as to age and residence in the colony. (PRESS ASSOCIATION* TELEGRAAtS.) WELLINGTON, February 9. An Order-in-Council enacts that search ■ fees under the Old Age Pensions Act shall be prepaid in stamps. DUNEDIN, February 9. Up to the present 437 Old Age Pension certificates have been granted, and 40 rejected. Of the total granted, 268 are males and 140 females.
