CANTERBURY JOCKEY CLUB.
The monthly meeting of the Committee of the Canterbury Jockey Club was held on Tuesday. An amateur rider's certificate was granted to Mr J. H. B. Oliver. Trainers licenses were issued to C. Dunn and W. Watson; joc!_ey licenses to U. Dunn, W. Roay, and F. Watson; and apprentices licenses to T. Clorhson and C. G. Campbell. The sum of £3 3s was voted to St. John Ambulance Society. The disqualifications for life by the Rolleston Sports Club of J. Fairbairn and H. Verra-n and mare Gold Medallist, alias Trilby, was endorsed. The Hon. E. W. Parker tendered his resignation as Steward and Committeeman. It was resolved to receive same with regret as from the er.d of the current year.
