The Maggie Moore •H. R. Roberts Company will open their season here on Saturday next, in the musical comedy, " Mrs Quinn's Twins." The company closed their season last night in Dunedin, having had to extend it three nights owing to the success which attended their various productions. . Messrs Herbert Baillie and Co. notify elsewhere that Wragg'a " Australasian Almanac and Weather Guide for Land and Sea," is now ready. An entertainment will be given at St. Luke's Schoolroom this evening. The first part will comprise songs, &c, and the second ihe operetta " Rumples tiltzkin." The City and Suburban Tramway Company notify that the Engineers' £tnid will accompany the 7.15 tram to-night. The polling for the election of two members of the Sumner Borough Council will take place to-day. The lost wool sale of the season takes place to-morrow, starting at 10 and 10.15 a.m., instead of 9.15 and 9.30 a.m. as previously arranged. Thore are 803 lots, making up 3007 bales, divided among the brokers as follows :—Friedlander Bros,, 108 bales ; Dalgety and Co., 285 bales; Pyne and Co.. 512 bales ; J. T. Ford and Co., 70 bales ; F. C. Tibart, 185 bales ; Matson and Co. and Thomas, 550 bales; Farmers' Cooperative, 449 bales ; Loan Company, 848 baleP. Mr G. H. Elliott, the head master of the School of Art, has invited the members of the Committee of the Industrial Asociation to meet him at the School of Art on Friday, aC 8 p.m., to inspect the annual exhibition of the work of the students of the school. A meeting or the trustees of the Floral Fete will be held at 4.30 p.m. on Tuesday next, when the thirteen schemes sent in for the improvement of the Avon will be submitted. The employees of the New Zealand Farmers* Co-operative Association will hold their annual picnic at Mostyn, Mr Geo. Jameson's farm at Springston on Thursday, February 16th. At the same time the opportunity will be taken to present Mr Jamesun. with an illuminated address, expression of the esteem and respect in which he was held by those under him during the time he was manager of the Association. To-night, weather permitting, the Woolstou Brass Band, under Mr E. C. Deny, will i give a programme of music on the rotunda.
