St. George Preserving Works, Duuedin, first award with special mention for jams, fancy ginned poultry, fruit, vegetables, etc., first award for apple jelly and red currant jelly, first award for "Lily" brand of white and coloured starches, first award for arrowroot, first award for spices, .first award for golden syrup, first award for pig feed (refuse) from the manufacture of storch and ground rice. Steel Pipes—-Hadley and Co., Alb&rt and Swanson streets, honourable mention for •tee! pipes, manufactured by S. Zollner, Sydney. New Zealand Portland Cement Company, first-class award for white stone, sosond-class award for hydraulic lime. Organs and Pianos—With reference to the organ at the Choral Ilall, the judges consider that for excellence of tone in both reeds and flue work, it is equal to the best English-made organs. They compliment Mr Geo. Croft for being the first builder to introduce combination pistons into New Zealand, and award him first and special prize and highly commend his work. British and Continental' Piano Company, highest award for German pianos (Haakc); W. P. Hoffnmn, second award for German pianos (Carl Ecke); Lewis R. Eady, third award for German pianos; George Richardson, first award for electric piano and first award for Packard church or **J»s Ernest Oake? (Nelson), first award lor iNcw Zealand special made organs; W. P Hoffman, first awaid for English pianos (John Bnnamead and Sons).
