United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph— Covvrigh t. LONDON, February 7. The Manchester cotton operatives demand an advance in wages. The masters refuse to concede it, as they consider that the demand is premature. SYDNEY, February 8. A delegate to the Board at Newcastle recommended the Coal Lodges nJt to accept the masters' terms. The ballot will be taken shortly.
