During the past month 1200 tons ore treated hy the Tararu Creek Company yielded bullion worth £1670, an increase of £350* upon the.previous month's output. . 1 * NAPIER, February 6. The "Telegraph's" special correspondent at Taupo wires that Air McKay, Government Geologist, has' just returned from a prospecting tour at Heuomai. Gold was tound almost everywhere, but not in payable quantities.
t REEFTON, February 6. The return of the Progress Mines, Limited, for January, is 14650z from 3400 tons, above the value of £6081.
-' - DUNEDIN, February 6. For the year 1898 the Consolidated Mine at Macetown crushed 5126 tons, producing 27870z. of the value of £11,216. The Westraiia and New Zealand Gold Explorers, Limited crushed 489 tons, obtaining 281oz of the value of £1167.
