CONGREGATIONAL UNION.

DUNEDIN, February 6. The Congregational Union opened in the forenoon, and a letter of condolence was ordered to be sent to the family of the late Rev. W. J. Habeas. There was a good attendance of ministers and delegates. Mr George Fowlds, Auckland, presided. The Revs. W. Day, E. Doddrell, W. Finlay Wilson, A. Hodge, and J. Parker were received into the Union. Dr. and Mrs lie van, of Melbourne, were received, and welcomed by the Chair———. The Newton Church was received into the Union. The Secretary's report was read and adopted. In the afternoon thanksgiving services were held, the Rev. W. Fernie giving an address on "Reasons for Thanksgiving," and the Rev. A. C. Lyon on "Our £Jeed of Prayer."
