A new departure in connection with racing in Auckland Avas made on Saturday at the Takapuna meeting, written authority having first been obtained from the Stewards. Four detectives stationed themselves at the gates, and refused admission to fully 50 men. The position taken up was that the course being private property, the owners had a right to refuse admission to any person. (PRESS association telegram.) AUCKLAND, February 6. The Stewards of the Takapuna Jockey Club are to hold an enquiry on Friday next into an allegation made by a local horseowner in reference to Mr Knight's handicapping.
