THE EX-MAYOR OF ALGIERS.

PARIS, February 5.
MM. Rochefort and Max Regis, the latter having been recently removed by the French Government from the position of Mayor of Algiers, owing to the part he took in the anti-Jewish disturbances, were cheered and hooted at Marseilles, en route for Algiers. Flowers and stones were thrown at the carriage, and when aboard the steamer M. Regis apostrophised the hostile crowd gathered on tne quays and boats.
February 6. M. Rochefort received a great welcome at Algiers.
