The race was a fiasco. Bendall eased up all the way to allow Spencer to keep with him. Junior Fours, one mile and a half —Wellington Rowing Club 1, Stare 2, Picton 3. A splendid race; won by half a length. Time, Bmin 42 3-sth sec. Senior Pairs, one mile and a half—Wellington Rowing Club 1, Stars 2, Wellington Rowing Club 3. At the start Picton fouled Wellington, and a new start was ordered, but after the second start Picton again fouled. The Wellington Rowing Club, Calnan's crew, won easily. Time Bmin 0 l-6th sec.

(FBKSS ASSOCIATION TELEGBAMS.) AUCKLAND, February 4. The regatta rowing races have been again postponed, owing to lumpy weatner. GISBORNE, February 4. The annual rowing contests between the Napier and Gisborneßowing Clubs' representatives were rowed to-day. , Both the senior and junior events were won easily by Gisborne by three lengths. The second heat of the Model Yacht Club's Commodore's Cup was sailed on Saturday at Victoria Lake. The wind was fairly strong from the nor'-west. The race resulted:— Mr Hurt's Transit .. .. .. .. 1 Mr Harrison's Ripple .. .. ..2 Mr Hill's T.G.G 3 The third heat will be sailed next Saturday.
