The annual rowing contests between the Napier and Gisborneßowing Clubs' representatives were rowed to-day. , Both the senior and junior events were won easily by Gisborne by three lengths. The second heat of the Model Yacht Club's Commodore's Cup was sailed on Saturday at Victoria Lake. The wind was fairly strong from the nor'-west. The race resulted:— Mr Hurt's Transit .. .. .. .. 1 Mr Harrison's Ripple .. .. ..2 Mr Hill's T.G.G 3 The third heat will be sailed next Saturday.
