THE WELLINGTON FISH TRADE.

WELLINGTON, February 3. The Railway Department has agreed to place cool cars on the line for the conveyance of fish from Napier, as it is found that tho insulated cars allow the contents to deteriorate, The Minister also promised to see if the charge for returned empties could not be reduced. Mr Cranby, the representative of the Napier Trawling Company, assured the Minister that they had no intention in raising prices, but merely wished to regulate them. They intended in future to sell fish here by weight, at about Is 6d for 41b of soles and flounders, or double that quantity of shnapper, moki, &c.
