THE CUSTOM OF "SHOUTING."
His Honour Judge Kettle (says the Manawatu "Standard") evidently does not believe in the colonial practice of "shouting," which he described at the District Court at Palmerston North as a " foolish, stupid habit, and one of the curses of the country." He further ventured the opinion that it was a pity some legislation could not be devised to put a stop to it.
