SOUTH ISLAND TROTTING ASSOCIATION.

The monthly meeting of the above Association was held last evening. In regard to the complaint made by Mr Honeybone that some fees for entries refused by the Lancaster Park A.T. Club had not been returned, the Club wrote stating that Mr Honeybone had not applied for refund, but an agent of his who had spoken to the Secretary was advised that the matter would receive attention at the next meeting of the Club's committee. The newly-formed Temuka Trotting Club wrote, forwarding a programme to be parsed for July 28th. It was decided to request the Club to forward a list of its members, and if then the Club were affiliated the programme would be passed. The Westport Trotting Club advised that in future it was resolved to hold the club's gathering on December 28th, the day immediately following the Westport Jockey Club's meeting, and asked that the Association assist the club in procuring a totalisator license. The letter was received, it being pointed out that the whole question of totalisator permits would be gone into a 6 the annual conference. The President stated that the date of the meeting of the annual conference was not yet fixed, but he thought it would be about the 13th July or a week later. It was reKolved that a list be forwarded to the Colonial Secretary of the trotting clubs affiliated during the year, and those club 3 that bad received totalisator permits during the year.
