PERSONAL ITEMS.
The Hon. J. M'Kenzie and Mrs M'Kenzie arrived by the express from the south last night, and are staying at the Terminus Hotel. The Rev. W. S. Salter was a passenger for Dunedin by the Talune yesterday. Captain Apstein was a passenger from the north by the Talune yesterday. The Rev. M'Manus came by the same steamer. i The Rev. H. C. M. Watson was a passenger to Auckland by the Elingamite. Mr W. H. Cooper was a passenger to Sydney. Mrs Latnbie left for Napier by the same boat. Mrs Pitcaithly, Mr and Mrs Northcote, and Miss Lake left by the Elingamite to join tho Kaikoura. . . . Mr (J. S. Fowler was a passenger by the express this morning. The Hon. H. EL Taiaroa was a passenger by the same train. , ; Mr R. Meredith, M.H.R., was a passenger by the express last night from the South. Mr J. Sawyers was also a passenger. Mr C. H. Tripp arrived from Timaru last night. The Rev. W. Baumber, of Wellington, is a passenger by the Rotomahana, which is to arrive this morning. Mr W. C. Fraser, Secretary of the Amalgamed Society ot Engineers, went to Wellington yesterday en route for Auckland. Mr J. Myers returned to Wellington yesterday.
