In a cricket match at Mr A. W. Rutherford's station at Mendip Hills on Thursday last between teams representing Mendip and the visitors respectively, the latter went first to the wickets, and were all disposed of for 42 runs, of which number Kemp contributed 15. Small as the visitors' score was their bowling proved most destructive to the Mendip team, who scored only 24 runs. The honours of tho game, so far jas batting is concerned, were gained by Kemp, while Forbes, who bowled for Mendip, and Blunden and Leslie Rutherford for tha visitors, were largely responsible for the smallness of the scores.
