The Cassel Gold Extraction Company is suing the mining companies to recover royalties on the cyanide process not paid up to the time the Government bought the rights for the colony. The Waihi-Silverton Company is the first one sued, and has applied for a commission to take evidence ia England. It is understood that the Cassel Company's claim will be resisted on tha ground that the patent is invalid, and tha whole question therefore will be opened up again.
