Calcutta, March 21. Sir James Westlaud, one of the members of the Council of the Gov-ernor-General of India, reports that despite the famine, war and plague, the Indian revenue is elastic," and fresh taxation will be unnecessary. Received March 23rd, 12.45 a.m. TERRIBLE FIRE IN A BOARD-ING-HOUSE. New York, March 22. In a fire which destroyed a boarding house at Montana, twenty-five of the inmates perished.
