DUNEDIN.
March 14. The Carisbrook A team continued their match with the Dunedin team on Saturday and increased their score to 298, winning the match by an innings and many runs. G. Austin bowled capitally for the winners; at one stage of the game his average read three wickets for no runs. Liggins carried his score to nearly 60, and Howden made 18. On Saturday next the A team will play their final match of the season, meeting the Grange again. They have virtually won the Cup now, and are heads above any other team here this season. The Grange will be a good second.
On Saturday at Opoho the Grange succeeded in carrying their score to 235, the home team responding with 117 and 32. The players in the second innings could do nothing with the bowling of T. and A. Downes, who secured four wickets each for 14 and 17 runs respectively. In the first innings of Opoho McLean made 41, Webb 19, and Collet 17 in fair style.
