LYTTELTON.
Frtday, September 17. (Before A. Chalmers and YY\ Cook, Esqs., J.P.'s.) Cask Dismissed. — Peter Hagland and Frederick Northcot, on remand, were oharged with the larceny of some sails, an anchor and cable, value £3, the property of R. Anderson. Mr Nalder appeared for tho accused, who pleaded "Nob guilty." After hearing the evidence the Bench held there was no evidence against the accused and dismissed the charge. Remanded.—Peter Hagland was then charged with the larceny of a jib-sail, the property of J. Sullivan. On the application of Mr Nalder this oase, along with one or two others against both men, was remanded till the following day. Bail was nob allowed.
