ROAD BOARDS.
. MANDEVILLE AND RANGIORA. The monthly meeting was held on September 10th. Present—Messrs Wallace (Chairman), Moody, Kelcher, Howell, and Stalker. It was decided to appoint Mr A. Home to register dogs belonging to the Maoris. Letters were read from the Rangiora Council giving notice of maeting of local bodies re Licensing Acts. The Chairman reported having attended the meeting, and v the resolutions passed. From the Kowai Road Board in reference to willows in the Ashley river. Received. From Mr L. Thompkins applying for sbingle. Rβferred to Surveyor. Mr A. Petrie'n offer to fence an old shingle pit at W oodend, and to pay 2s 6d a year rental, was accepted. It was decided to convene a meeting of local Boards to take control of tho waste lands by the Ashley river. It was decided to form certain roads at .Southbrook. Messrs Ballantyne and Lusk's tender, £9, for 00001*616 culvert at Southbrook was accepted. Accounts, £76 lbs Bd, were passed. The overdrawn 'balance at the Bank was £352 10a 3d.
