Mails close for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations :— FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 17. For Port Robinson, Cheviot and Kftikoura, per Wakatu, at 6.25 p.m.; late fee letters, 6.40 p.m. ; guard's van, 7.45 p.m. train. SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 18. For Northern Ports, per Rotorua, at 4.20 p.m. ; late fee letters, 4.35 p.m. ; guard's van, 5.30 p.m. train. Foe Northern ports and Westporfc, per Te An-ui, at 7.45 p.m. ; late fee letters, 8 p.m. ; guard's van, 9.15 p.m. train. WKUNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 22. For Australian Colonies (via Bluff), Ceylon, India, China, &c. ; also United Kingdom and Contiueiit of Europe, for correspondence specially addressed via Suez and South Africa (per Australasian from Melbourne lat October, due Cape Town October 22nd), per express to connect with Tulune at 10.30 a.m. ; late fee letters, 10.40 a.m. ; mail van, 11 a.m. train. Mails for Tonga, Samoa, and Fiji, per OwvUu, close at Auckland on 22nd September, at 4 p.m. Mails for Kara tonga and Tahiti, per Upolu, close at Auckland on 29th September at 4 p.m. Mails for Noumea leave Sydney on 18th September. Mails for Tahiti, per Southern Cross, close at Wellington on or about 22nd September. Mails for Australia, &c, per Wakatipu, close at Wellington on 17th September, at 2 p.m. Mails via Vancouver, per Miowera, close at Wellington on 13th September, at 10 a.m. R.
