SYDNEY, September 16. The third day's racing at the Australian Jockey Club's Spring Meeting was brought off to-day, the weather being dull, but the attendance large for an off day. The following are the results :— THE SECOND HURDLE RACE, a handicap sweepstakes ot 5 soya each, with 200 eovs added; secoud hor.se 50 soys tioui the prize. About three miles. Mr T. Bettiug—2 to 1 agst Brindawala, 4 to 1 Alaska and Heron. The field, with the exception of the favourite who was last throughout, fenced well and kept together pretty well the whole way. Rocket and Alaska were alternately in front. Heron led over the last jump, but was beaten in the run homo by a length and a half. Time, 6nnn 15£ sec. THE CKAVEtf PI.ATE, a sweepstake of 10 soys each, 1 ft., with 400 soys added ; second horse 50 sove from the price. For three-jears-old and upwards, one mile and a-quarter. Mr W. R. The first to move was True Blue, but he was quickly displaced by Delaware, closely followed by Hopscotch, with Positano lying last. This order was not changed until the entrance to the straight was reached, where Poeitano moved up on the inside and, with Coil on the outside, joined issue opposite the St. Leger sland ; but Delaware, showing a clean pair of heels, won easily by three lengths, half-a-longth between secoud aud third. THE WYTCOMBK STAKES, a sweepstakes of 5 soya each, 1 ft, with 200 soys added ; second horse to receive 25 soys from the prize. One mile and three furlongs. Mr W. Kelso's b c Survivor, by Lochiel—Melissa, 4 yrs, 9st .. .. .. .. .. 1 Mr H. U. White's h c Clarion, 3 yrs, 7st 91b _ 2 Mr A. Hooke's(juu,)True Blue, 5 yra, 9at4lb .. 3 Hopscotch, Wargod and Zietella also started. Betting—6 to 4 agst Survivor, 4 to 1 Clarion, 6 to 1 Hopscotch and True Blue. From a good start Clarion was quickest away, but Hopscotch was in front passing Oxenham's, and led Clarion by ten lengths along the back stretch. The field closed at the entrance to the straight, where Clarion took command, but Survivor went up to the leader opposite the stand, and after a splendid finish won by a neck. True Blue three lengths away. Time, 2min 25sec. THE SYDNEY HANDICAP, a handicap sweepstake 3 of 10 sove each, 1 ft., with 300 soya added. For three-year-olds and upwards. Second horse 50 soys from the prize. One mile and a half. Mr T. Payten's br h Projectile, by Chester—Percussion, aged, Bst 91b .. .. „ 1 Mr J. Borthwick's blk g Agate, aged 6st 121b .. 2 Mr J.
