(PBKS3 ASSOCIATION TKLKGIIAM.) INVEHCARGILL, September 16. The Hon. J. G. Ward was entertained at •banquet by the Awarua electors to-night, mere was a large attendance, and Mr W. Aeith was in the chair. Tho Hon. J. «'Kenj,ie came South to be present, and J** 8 played to the hall by a pipe band. •J 1 * Hon. Mr Pinkorton and Mr Morrison, M.H.R., also were present. The proceed-" >ngs lasted till a very late hour. Nothing « colonial interest was said. Mr Ward referred to tho attacks of his political opponents, and reasserted his intention to stand *8«»n and again for the suffrages of the People. Mr M'Konzie spoke in defence of «r Ward, and lauded his administrative *nd political career.
